Coffee Talk

I volunteered to be the coffee hour host after church this coming Sunday, so I have to think of something to make for that. I reckon I'll just make cookies, as I usually do (I do this about once a month). Cookies are easier to transport on the bus than a cake, and if I make a couple of different varieties, then everyone has a choice. I need to make something I haven't already. Banana-nut bars, perhaps? Or maybe pecan shortbread. Hmmmm....I'll let you know what I decide.

I was shocked, too! It was one of those weird, slow-motion moments. I saw the bus approaching, realized it was a #2, and thought, "I wonder if [Leona] is on it." So I looked intently at the windows, and sure enough, there she was, looking straight at me. I waved and smiled, but she just had this hilarious, shocked look on her face. It made my day!
