The lemon squares were a big hit at coffee hour today. I only have a couple left over. The pecan shortbreads got a lot of compliments, too, but I have more of those left. That's fine--more for me! My friend and are I going to have dinner, not lunch, for our picnic today so that we can go to a carillon concert on the lawn of Rockefeller Chapel in Hyde Park. She says all I have to bring are the beverages, so I should get busy and make some tea or lemonade. Right now, I have a pot of curried potatoes and eggplant bubbling on the stove. Should be ready any minute now...
