I'm trying to send out an evite right now, and the stupid web site keeps locking up on me. Grrrrr! Anyway, the evite in question is for a White Elephant party. I used to know this couple who threw a party like this every January. They would ask everyone to bring something unwanted, but all wrapped up like a present, for a gift exchange. You drew a number and when it was called, you could either choose a gift from the pile or force a previous recipient to give up his/her gift to you, a la Yankee Swap. It was always a lot of fun, and I've often thought of hosting a party like that myself. And I will if I can ever get the evite to work for me. *sigh*
