I've decided not to make pork chops for Comic Book Guy and his wife (I think I'll call her Vintage Girl, given her huge collection of vintage clothing). I'm going to make beef stew and buttermilk biscuits, instead, and then I'll make a salad and some appetizers to round out the menu. I wanted something nice and hearty for a cold winter evening. Vintage Girl is bringing the dessert, so I'm looking forward to seeing what she makes. So, tonight I'll run to the grocery store, and tomorrow I'll get the beef stew into the crock-pot first thing in the morning. Nothing beats stew that's been slow-cooking all day. I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it.
