Last night's little soiree was a lot of fun. Both gals really liked the lasagna, and they both were very impressed with the chocolate mousse. It's funny--people think mousse is very complicated and difficult to make, but it's one of the easiest desserts ever. We had interesting conversations and got some serious knitting done. I really enjoyed myself.
I hope my last post didn't sound too bitter. Most of the people who declined did so because they had previous engagements. But there were a few who seemed flummoxed by the idea of a white elephant party. They just couldn't understand why such a thing might be fun. I didn't think it was such a wild-n-crazy idea, but maybe I'm a weirdo. Better weird than boring, darling!
