Cherry Clafoutis

One of my favorite desserts is a cherry clafoutis. I never make it except in the summer when cherries are in season and I can get the good ones at the farmers' market.





It's very easy to make and only takes 40 minutes in the oven, so it won't heat up your whole house. The texture is so smooth, more like a custard than a cake, and it's not too sweet. I'm already planning to have another big slice tomorrow with coffee for breakfast.
